Happiness

Something I strive to achieve. It is something I want, need, have.

We all have happiness, but it is not always around.

Just 'being' happy is simple enough to say, but when it comes to being in that realm, do i truly want to be happy, or do i want to create a fake happiness so that everyone around me can be happy ( i know it sounds stupid, i could actually be genuinely happy, and people would be happy that im happy). I mean i do get it, i do that alot, try to be happy for the sake of being happy for other people around me, so that they can tell im happy (even though some obviously know I'm not). In most cases i am fine being that way, im used to it, you could say.

I just want to be happy. Am i afraid of being happy? If something goes wrong and unhappiness ensues, am i just able to say well i wasn't happy in the first place, thus making me right all along, knowing that i couldn't be happy because unhappiness was coming!

I love my life and everything that surrounds me in and out of it. Its wonderful!

I know i can be happy, there are times when i have been so genuinely happy, i feel like i am glowing...so i know it is there, but why not all the time. What keeps me from being that way? i love being that way! what makes me feel that way?

I love the people i love, and i know they love me. Its amazing.

Im scared of it i think. Scared of being genuinely happy. Because if i were to be genuinely happy all the time, i get that some people may not like it (though i do not know this for certain), it may not suit them. And that would again make me unhappy, and make fake happiness come out to play.

I need to do it. Create happiness.

Our Next play and one of my best posters i would say indeed :-D

I play the role of Matthew who has just returned from prison after being convicted of pushing mother out of a window to fall to her very death.

Have i returned to just cause more trouble by saying i was innoncet and make the family dispute and argue and accuse each other for killing her...or am i innocent and someone else did push her???

Come and find out!

Coraline

Coraline

I have always loved and been fascinated by stop animation and claymation. The people involved in creating these worlds is astounding. I don't think i could really have the patience for it actually. So when i first saw a preview for this film i knew that i wanted to see it. Also with the director from Tim Burtons Nightmare Before Christmas (One of my most favourite movies ever), how could i say no.

The film itself was entertaining, albeit it seemed slow paced but it jogged through those moments quite nicely, and it did indeed have it's funny moments. The vocal talents was quite a surprise, i had no idea who was involved, Dakota Fanning, Jennifer Saunders, Dawn French, Terri Hatcher (that one i knew)

The premise of the film is that Coraline just wants to be noticed or have attention paid to her by her family after just moving to new house. And in this house there is a secret door, and when its unlocked its bricked up...but when she goes to sleep she discovers it is open and ready for her to enter, the only issue is that this other 'world' is a little bit different, her family and friends have buttons for eyes *add shocking music here*

As it is a stereotypical childrens film you quickly gather what the outcome of the film will be "what world will she choose to be apart of'" i still feel that it was a wonderful movie. The music was beautiful to listen to (its not a musical all singing and all dancing movie just so you know).

The only issue i had and it was with the film itself. It was those noisy little bastards at the back of the cinema who were constantly moving about and just being childlike. It grated my nerves, i should have gone to the cinema clerk and told them to kick them out! They were only young teens but still those bastards ruined the cinema experience for everyone in the theatre. Grr!

I would give this film a 3.5 out of 5

Unconcious Mutterings

Something a bit different

  1. Take :: what you get and get what you take

  2. 350 :: ways do find out how to do something

  3. Stand :: ing in front of a salad bar and looking hungry

  4. Raspberry :: Turtles would look rather nice.

  5. Turnstile :: round and round and round...when does it stop?

  6. Infomercial :: waste of time...unless its something i want to watch...

  7. Dejected :: is only a word and you can get past the emotion...

  8. What’s the word? :: The word is Lake, it wants to be peaceful...

  9. Awestruck :: is a feeling i don't think i have felt in a long time...

  10. Smashed :: pumpkin can taste nice... I wouldn't know though, i like it mashed...

Extra Houseguests

Why have these girls got their knickers in a twist? We have two guests that have been with us since Wednesday...
Shadow
Its been a rough few days for them but they are getting along slowly. These two get picked up today, the owner of the beautiful cats had pest control doing their home so we are looking after them. Shadow is actually the sister of Dora and Mittens, but the size difference is amazing, our two are like runts compared to her. But we still love our girls nonetheless.

But at least over a few days they are getting better aquainted, still we have the hissing at each other and whatnot, but you get that when there are four of them sharing the same places, lol. It happens.

Chinese New Year 09

Well we had our Chinese New Year Party this weekend just gone and i must say that it was quite a success. This year it is the Year of the Ox, which makes having a Chinese NBew Year different each year as it has a different theme. This year we had beef and meaty products, last year was the rat so we had lots of cheesy things :-D...when it comes to dragon im not sure what we are going to do...hmm...hehe oh well. But next year is the Tiger, so we may have to be creative with that too :-D oh the possibilities.

It was a great turn out i would say about 40 or so people had turned up. CNY is a time for people to get together who haven't been in touch for a while and for close friends too. So it was great to see people make the effort :-D i know those of you who couldn't make it have there reasons which is fine, I still love you :-D

Here are some pictures from the night

Tim Natalie Cristian and Ryan

It was a great night, i didn't take as many pictures as i wanted to but thats ok, at least i made a start :-D

Cheers and Thank you everyone

Feelin' Fine in 09

Wow look at the last time that i posted, wow, that's so sad :-S

Things have been going well lately, and i have been feeling quite good about myself.

Thanks to Danielle, i had a fantastic afternoon yesterday with my photoshoot and i must say they are looking wonderful, and i had so much fun, and i can not wait to do it again. I am also helping Danielle with her website graphics, woo hoo!

Also recently for the first tim ever i have mowed a lawn, gerard wrote all about it on the other blog so i'l let you have a look at the piccies that he had put up. I was very proud of myself for mowing the lawn, it was very butch of me hehe.

Also i feel like i am getting back into graphic design and starting to play around with images a bit more, which is a nice outlet for me in an artistic fashion, i can't wait to get back up on stage and perform again when the theatre starts.
